Job Description
Nativity Catholic School is seeking to hire a School Counselor for the 25-26 school year.
Nativity Catholic School is a dynamic Preschool through 8th-grade institution dedicated to academic excellence faith formation and character development. We are committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students grow spiritually academically and socially. As a candidate for STEM School of Excellence recognition we integrate STEM principles throughout our curriculum to inspire critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to support the academic social emotional and spiritual well-being of our students. The counselor will work collaboratively with students families faculty and administration to promote a positive school culture provide individual and group counseling and implement programs that foster student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students academic social and emotional development.
Develop and implement programs to promote mental health conflict resolution and positive decision-making.
Support students in developing coping strategies problem-solving skills and resilience.
Collaborate with teachers parents and administrators to address student needs and create intervention plans.
- Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school in all aspects of the counseling program.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in School Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related field.
Valid state certification/licensure as a School Counselor.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
