Job Description

Job Opening for Tendering & Proposal

Location: Chennai

Experience: 20 years


Key Responsibilities:

Tendering & Strategy:

  • Identify opportunities in Transmission Lines sectors.
  • Develop competitive bidding strategies balancing cost risk and quality.
  • Lead pre-bid planning pricing decisions and risk mitigation.
  • Stay updated on market trends competitor activity and policy shifts.
  • Negotiate contract terms and convert bids into project awards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with key clients government bodies and private players.
  • Engage with policymakers and financial institutions to stay informed on policy and funding.
  • Represent the company in client meetings presenting proposals and handling negotiations.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and mentor the tendering team to ensure timely and high-quality bid submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and raise client concerns for resolution.
  • Improve project qualifications and positioning for future bids.

Process Optimization & Improvement:

  • Standardize tools and templates to streamline proposal preparation.
  • Conduct post-bid reviews to improve strategy and execution in future tenders.


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Power Systems Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • MBA or masters degree in project management/business development is preferred.
