Job Summary
Newberry Group seeks a NOC Technician with the ability to support our end customer the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) within their Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) NOC at (Scott AFB IL or Hill AFB UT).


Due to contract requirements US Citizenship is required along with a current clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing training team and developing processes for the following duties:
  • Execute network operations to include configuration and analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.
  • Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
  • Work directly with supported customers and engineers across other NOCs to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
  • Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
  • Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement software configurations and ASI management.
  • Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations isolations escalations and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
  • Assess identify and recommend resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers switches routing protocols MPLS VPN technologies IDS/IPS proxies packet capture network taps load balancing firewalls out-of-band management.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE or equivalent) at start date.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
  • High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance fault management LAN maintenance performance management.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: routers switches routing protocols CISCO Juniper MPLS.
  • General understanding of network topologies.
  • Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
  • Circuit actions and vendor experience
  • IP architecture experience
  • Telco NOC inside or outside plant experience.
  • Experience with MS Office suite i.e. Outlook Excel Word Access PowerPoint TEAMs
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance fault management LAN maintenance performance management change management.
  • Any additional certifications to include: CCNA JNCIA-Junos F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist ITILv4.
