Description:Overview
You will be a Coating Specialist responsible for applying various types of protective coatings primers paints inks and finishes to detail parts and assemblies for development test equipment tools and production. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and were looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Coating Specialist you will be responsible for applying coatings to detail parts and assemblies checking surfaces for proper preparation and operating paint equipment and facilities to perform application and preparation operations. You will work from drawings sketches schematics planning change orders and verbal instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality results.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Applying various types of protective coatings primers paints inks and finishes to detail parts and assemblies
* Checking surfaces prior to painting or treating for proper preparation
* Operating associated paint equipment and facilities to perform application and preparation operations
* Working from drawings sketches schematics planning change orders and verbal instructions
* Applying tape and paper or other stencil and covers for coating location
* Performing verification of accuracy using precision measuring equipment such as calipers scales micrometers and gauges
* Reworking detail parts as required
* Keeping work area clean and orderly
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience using precision measuring
equipment such as calipers scales micrometers
and pfund gauges
-Experience applying various types of protective
coatings prime paint ink and finishes
-Experience operating standard paint equipment
and facilities to perform application and
preparation operations
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
-Prior painter experience in a manufacturing
and/or production environment.
-Able to perform Zahn Cup test.
Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day 3 days off per week
