Position Summary
The Materials Management Tech will perform various warehouse and inventory activities such as receiving shipping distributing and restocking inventory. The Materials Management Tech will work closely with purchasing maintain records conduct inventory/cycle counts and input data using the MMIS (Materials Management Inventory System).
Essential Functions
- Processes requisitions for supplies submitted in the MMIS and deliver to the requesting department or clinic.
- Conducts physical inventory biannually and monthly cycle counts.
- Inventories and restocks PAR locations as scheduled.
- Continuously monitors stock inventory levels and recommend changes as needed.
- Receives all incoming shipments by comparing packing slips to Purchase Order and maintain proper documentation.
- Transports lab specimens from clinics to hospital.
- Ensures transport vehicle is properly maintained.
- Receives sorts distributes and meters all hospital mail.
- Restocks crash carts and isolation carts as needed.
- Processes Print Shop request.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
-Previous experience with storage and distribution of supplies preferred.
Education
-High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
