Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Day Services Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role you will assist in conducting and instructing individuals through various activities in a classroom setting providing support to up to ten individuals with moderate behaviors. The ideal candidate will be DSP trained (preferred) and have the ability to engage individuals in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Additionally applicants who have special skills or hobbies to share with the group will be considered a valuable asset.
Requirements
Conduct and assist in instructing individuals through a variety of planned activities including educational recreational and social activities.
Provide support and guidance to individuals with moderate behaviors in a positive respectful and nurturing manner.
Transport individuals to and from the program as well as during outings or community-based activities.
Assist in the development of individualized activity plans tailored to each participants interests and needs.
Help maintain a safe clean and organized environment for the participants and the program.
Support up to 10 individuals at a time ensuring their participation safety and engagement in all activities.
Communicate effectively with participants staff and families.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other staff members to ensure a person-centered approach.

PAY: $20/hour
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds on a routine basis to assist with individuals supported.
- Ability to bend twist lift reach and assist individuals supported with their movements including their ability to stand up.
- Ability to assist with the mobility and support of individuals including lifting bending and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to transport individuals using program vehicles including mini-buses.
