Job Description
Job Details:
- Location: Watertown NY 13601
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2088 - $2268
- Provide direct patient care for both Medical/Surgical and PCU patients including assessment planning implementation and evaluation.
- Float between Med/Surg and PCU as needed based on department needs.
- Take on charge nurse duties as required coordinating patient care and directing staff.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Serve as a resource for clinical staff providing leadership and guidance during stressful situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving critical thinking and leadership skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Must hold an active New York State RN license.
- Experience:
- Coronary Care experience is required.
- At least one successful travel assignment completed (first-time travelers will not be considered).
- Certification:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership skills ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function well under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- First time travelers will NOT be considered.
- Locals accepted-local pay rates will apply to candidates residing within a 60-mile radius.
