We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Project Manager to join our Vancouver based team. In this role you will leverage your experience to lead and shape projects across various sectors including commercial institutional educational and some industrial. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring a team of structural engineers guiding them through projects while also fostering client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee or directly contribute to the structural design of buildings including commercial institutional educational sports & recreation healthcare airports transportation and industrial.
  • Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion 
  • Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
  • Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Participate in the business development activities through the Metro Vancouver area. 
  • Champion a culture of client service excellence and team collaboration.
  • Manage and mentor team of junior engineers and technologists
  • Manage structurally design on multi disciplinary projects
  • Manage project delivery including project financial performance change orders and submission
  • Prepare proposals
  • Lead design of concrete steel and mass timber structures

Qualifications :

  • Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC. 
  • StructEng designation with EGBC is an asset 
  • 7 years of directly related experience in structural engineering 
  • Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.
  • Strong business acumen.

  • Team Spirit - Able to work with multi disciplinary teams
  • Experience with proposal and change order documentation preparation
  • Experience leading structural design of buildings while working in multidisciplinary teams

The expected salary for this position is from $110000 to $130000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
