Job Description
This role is part of a new R&D Team in India focusing on developing and maintaining the next generation Digital Products for mission critical connective technologies. The role leads and drives all firmware development activities as part of a global and crossfunctional product development team. With its entrepreneurial spirit the role contributes greatly to the digital transformation of Oetikers products and the creating of new digital product opportuneties
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain system software/ firmware for current and future Oetiker product
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary global development projects teams
- Collaborate with external partners
- Support internal and external customers
- Contribute to the development of Oetikers Digital Product strategy
- General project work (agile) and departmental tasks
Skills
- Proven drive (energy determination motivation) and a can-do mentality
- Proven knowhow in system software/ firmware development and system design in C C
- Experience in scripting language Python and similar
- Knowledge with Embedded systems ARM STM32 platform and freeRTOS
- Knowledge of communication protocols like Serial Ethernet TCP/IP
- Familiar with modern collaboration tools such as Confluence for document purpose and knowhow Exchange JIRA for bug tracking
- Proficiency in firmware version management systems in Git
- Experience with debugging tools like JTAG Logic Analyzers
- Experience with unit testing framework such as GoogleTest Jenkins
- Experience in collaboration with different stakeholder (SW HW QA)
- Precise and analytical working style with a high commitment to quality
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level)
- Team player with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
Qualifications :
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar
- 5 years of experience in Firmware Development
- Experience in C C and Script languages (Python)
