Job Description
This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
Responsibilities
The curatorial intern supports this mission by working the art curator one-on-one to conduct research and develop exhibitions. A special project this season includes researching specific collection items in preparation for a publication highlighting treasures of the Church History Museum collection.
Qualifications
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
The ideal candidate has
- An excitement about Latter-day Saint visual culture
- Excellent research and writing skills
- The ability to work independently but also collaboratively with staff members

- Recent research paper (5-10 pages)

Qualification:
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (or recently graduated in the last year) in art history visual arts humanities history or a related field.
