  • Salary: 12.21 per hour
  • Hours: Between 8am 5.30pm morning and afternoon sessions or whole days*
  • Contract: Banked hours required as soon as possible

*Please note that this role is on a Banked Hours basis to cover staff as and when required and set hours are not guaranteed.

Due to our increasing number of children we need an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at our facility Kirkley Nursery and Centre of Excellence within Kirkley Childrens Centre. You will support the Head of Service EYFS in the delivery of exceptional provision showing best practice and assist in the training of colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and share best practice in modern facilities.

We are looking for Level 3 Teaching Assistants who:

  • have current knowledge of EYFS requirements policy and legislation
  • are able to assist with the planning and delivery of the curriculum using the EYFS curriculum for guidance.
  • have a real passion and drive for working with and educating children
  • demonstrate outstanding classroom practice
  • hold a relevant level 3 or above childcare qualification
  • can commit to attendance at regular safeguarding training sessions
  • are able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines
  • are able to maintain confidentiality
  • have good Maths English and ICT skills
  • can demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • can use own initiative and support day-to-day nursery room routines
  • are skilled in supporting childrens learning including pupils with SEND
  • has a desire to progress professional development and skills and to participate in nursery and Trust CPD opportunities
  • has a good understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • believe in building strong Parent Partnerships to provide cohesive learning to children
  • is willing to travel to other school sites as required

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or higher in Early Years Childcare
  • Grade C /4 Maths and English.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Paediatric First Aid (preferable)
