Job Description

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas or DMAs and duopolies in 11 DMAs including the three largest DMAs (New York Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports entertainment and syndicated content our television stations collectively produce approximately 1200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Networks national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Building Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation maintenance and safety of the building facilities and grounds of the television station by overseeing facility projects managing contractors and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical infrastructure equipment. The manager will work to ensure that the physical environment is conducive to the stations needs facilitating seamless operations and minimizing downtime by maintaining a reliable and efficient facility.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain the facilities and grounds to ensure they are clean safe and well-kept.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of building facilities including electrical HVAC and plumbing installations.
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance on building systems including HVAC fire-protection systems and other critical infrastructure.
  • Oversee facility projects and manage relationships with contractors including selection and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee basic routine maintenance such as filter and belt changes or ensure that vendors perform these tasks.
  • Ensure the building is free of hazards and oversee the safety of occupants.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the security team to ensure safety measures are met and concerns are addressed and keep the VP of Engineering abreast of all issues.
  • Supervise janitorial and groundskeeping staff to ensure proper cleaning and upkeep services.
  • Oversee janitorial services security grounds services and other trades as needed.
  • Perform daily inspections of the building and grounds for cleanliness safety proper lighting and operation of equipment.
  • Ensure that the team can focus on delivering high-quality broadcasts without interruption.
  • Coordinate with the various departments to plan and execute facility upgrades or modifications that align with technological advancements and the stations strategic goals
  • Manage the key and lock system for the building.
  • Oversee employee badges access control and video surveillance systems.
  • Work with the Vice President of Engineering and the broadcast maintenance department on broadcast installation projects as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this position as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and security.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and contractors effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements the pay rate/range for this role with final offer amount dependent on education skills experience and location is $110000.00-130000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance a 401(k) plan paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
