Test and Validation Engineers develop and improve test processes analyzing product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes to support customer requirements. You would apply your knowledge and skills to develop test modify and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams and provide technical direction for the test and troubleshooting of complex electronic assemblies and test equipment. What You Will Do
Leverage in-depth product knowledge and expertise in test equipment and methodologies to enhance production efficiency. Implement advanced problem-solving techniques to quickly address and resolve production issues minimizing downtime.
Develop a robust and scalable production test environment that supports the required testing capabilities and capacities. Collaborate with test equipment maintenance engineering to ensure continuous availability and reliability of test equipment through regular maintenance and updates. Collaborate with test equipment engineering to develop and implement improvements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production hardware testing.
Conduct ongoing analysis of production test data to ensure compliance repeatability and trend identification. Use data insights to inform process improvements and optimize testing strategies.
Own and manage the defect resolution process ensuring thorough failure mode identification root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective action implementation. Maintain accountability for defect resolution outcomes and drive process maturation to prevent recurrence.
Utilize RCCA methods and tools to swiftly respond to and resolve test anomalies. Ensure prompt and effective corrective actions to maintain production flow and product quality.
Ensure all rework and retests adhere to documented guidelines and meet forward flow requirements. Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in rework processes.
Create update and maintain test-related documentation including factory test procedures to reflect current practices and standards. Ensure all documentation is accurate comprehensive and easily accessible.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement by analyzing lifecycle test data and optimizing test methodologies. Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Operations Manufacturing Engineering Quality Maintenance Design/Engineering and Program Offices. Foster effective communication and alignment of goals and objectives within the value stream.
Ensure ongoing compliance with safety requirements for products test environments and personnel. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in all testing activities.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelors in science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
1 years of experience with project management
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
In-depth knowledge of RF RF circuits components and technical parameters.
Comprehensive interpretation for Test Requirements Schematic Diagrams and Technical Drawings.
Advanced knowledge of and skills for RF and RF related test equipment such as Power Meters Oscilloscopes Spectrum Analyzers and Network Analyzers.
Advanced knowledge of and experience with test software suits such as TestStand and LabView.
Advanced experience and efficiency in test and fault isolations.
Advanced data statistical analytic knowledge approach and skills.
Familiarity with:
Digital circuits
Analog circuits
RF circuits
Demonstrated hands-on electronics aptitude.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage dynamic workloads and environment.
Ability to be self-driven and efficient in a collaborative teamwork driven environment.
Knowledge and ability to apply RTX CORE principles and techniques.
Innovative mindset to drive continuous improvement and keep pace with technology.
Proven written and oral communication including presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel PPT Project Word) statistical evaluation tools (SPC data distribution analysis) and shop floor tools (PRISM PDM CMES)
Active US DoD Security Clearance (Secret)
Practical to substantial knowledge of Raytheon projects programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Proven record of initiative ownership accountability and commitment.
Masters degree preferred.
