The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for leading equipment planned maintenance activities rebuilds repairs and tool improvements. This position will be exposed to significant learning experience tool management and career growth opportunities.
This position is part of the Maintenance Engineering Dept. and will be in Lodi CA. At Cepheid our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
To work with a cross-functional team to support our rapidly expanding manufacturing facilitys high-volume automated filling and packaging operations in Lodi CA. As a member of our team youll get to make an immediate measurable impact on a global scale in an environment that fosters career growth and development.
Monitors and improves Maintenance KPI Overall Equipment Efficiency Unscheduled Maintenance and Unplanned Stops during shift operation while supporting the Defect Identification and Resolution Program and participating in verification validation and qualification exercises for new or transferred assets.
Co-creates and updates Preventive Maintenance documents and procedures as part of Continuous Improvement Initiatives contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Strong problem-solving skills Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Bachelors degree(s) in Engineering. Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering
Experience in completing assigned task for mechanical system Reliability-centered maintenance Preventive Maintenance and Condition-based Maintenance programs
Ability to interpret real time data in the form of graphs charts and strong fluency with MS Applications (Excel Powerpoint Word) etc.
Experience in executing rebuilds and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems. Monitors critical mechanical work processes - Inspections Mechanical Safety and provides Engineering Feedback to manager for improvements to automated lines.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Working in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device industry.
Experience as a team lead allocating work and providing subject matter guidance to more junior team members
Ability to communicate across levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is $75000 - $90000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
