Job Description
2nd Shift Machine Operator
Rate: $20/hr $1.50 shift differential
Hours: 2pm-10:30pm
Cincinnati OH
C-D
Responsibilities:
- Run automatic packaging equipment (i.e. bottle unscramble filler capper labeler case sealer).
- Verify the proper components are being assembled (i.e. correct label to the correct bottle).
- Maintain a clean work environment (including the machines).
- Document in process and end of line inspection (i.e. cap torque labeled used).
- Perform changeovers on equipment.
- Replace simple mechanical wear parts.
- Keep an accurate count on production.
- Label finished goods with part number and quantity.
- Pack goods directly on to pallets in displays or holding trays.
- Notify supervisor of any safety issues.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed by you and each member of the team and that all safety violations are reported properly and immediately.
- Must take training and operate electric walkie as needed.
Requirements:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- 1-day Train the Trainer certified.
- Read work orders and inspect work performed.
- Willingness and ability to run various lines.
- Willingness to work in other departments.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts.
- Frequent and repetitive lifting is required.
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred (i.e. Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word).
