Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of: Requirements for a comprehensive periodontal examination. Universal and area-specific instrumentation of teeth. Pre-clinical teaching methodology. Education: Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Licenses/Certifications Active RDH license Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to: Communicate effectively with a diverse population of patients. students staff faculty and administration. Work independently with minimal supervision. Work effectively in a group setting. Reflect self-assess and think critically. Maintain confidentiality of information. Demonstrate professional judgment in all situations. Experience: Previous teaching or practice experience is preferred. Minimum of one year practice experience preferred. Other: Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
