Fraud and Dispute Associate

What does a great Fraud & Dispute Associate do
As a Fraud & Dispute Associate you will provide support of Fiserv clients card portfolio chargeback programs (debit credit prepaid). You will investigate claims compare multiple avenues of processing disputes/chargebacks and decide on the best path to resolution.

This position is important and required to ensure that we take care of our clients as well as their customers. This directly follows our Values of earning client trust every day and creating with purpose. You will contribute to efforts small and large!

Responsibilities

  • The employee must have the ability to maintain effective time planning organizational skills and time utilization to ensure all processes are completed within timeframes.
  • This position involves time sensitive processing of documentation which is critical in working a dispute and if handled incorrectly could pose a negative impact with regards to liability on our behalf.
  • Various reject reports are monitored and processed and involve communication to the Specialist/Analyst handling the Case.
  • The purpose of this position is to listen to properly document and route cardholders messages about their case to the appropriate team or analyst.
  • Various reject reports are monitored and assessed to prevent potential negative impact on Cardholders and Clients.
  • Mailroom tasks include forwarding misdirected mail printing and mailing cardholder letters and indexing.
  • Maintaining detailed records.
  • Daily monitoring of email boxes and fax lines to index documentation and/or route to appropriate analyst.
  • Assignment of work for specific clients.
  • Find efficiencies to improve processes.
  • Identify and escalate priority issues.
  • Frequency of duties and responsibilities may vary according to the specific process supported.



Basic Qualifications
High school diploma
0-2 years of financial or customer service experience
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Teams OneDrive SharePoint)

Preferred Skills
Intermediate computer skills (40 WPM minimum)
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to prioritize workload
Knowledge of Regulation E and Regulation Z
Knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard operating regulations
Experience with electronic funds transfer (EFT)
