Resident Services Coordinator - Wenatchee, Quincy and George

Position Summary:

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) plays a vital role in fostering stable thriving communities at Saint Judes Landing Permanent Supportive Housing Casa Kino and Santa Martha Plaza farmworker housing sites. The RSC plans develops partnerships coordinates facilitates and delivers on-site services including Early Learning Play groups afterschool and summer enrichment programming coordinating -ESL classes financial literacy workshops health wellness and nutrition events and education and seasonal community events.

The RSC provides informal case management crisis response and referrals to support residents experiencing housing instability behavioral health challenges or substance use issues while also developing and implementing programs that promote safety stabilization and community engagement; these duties are site- and program-based tailored to individual and community needs and may include conducting needs assessments and connecting residents to local service providers.

In collaboration with property and asset management the Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) promotes housing stability through eviction prevention strategies tenant education and budgeting support. This role fosters resident leadership and inclusion by implementing community-building initiatives that enhance long-term housing success and overall well-being. This position reports to the Resident Services Associate Director and works closely with Catholic Charities Programs in Wenatchee CCHS staff on-site community managers residents and community partners to carry out these responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Functions:

Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of services and education programs to residents at CCHS housing sites

• Develop relationships with local service providers to provide access to education services and programs for residents.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with on-site community managers to coordinate site activities including scheduling meetings notifications and ensuring access to the community room.
• Provide ongoing case coordination and resident communications
• Schedule and facilitate resident meetings and programs; including set up and cleanup of meeting space recruiting residents delivery of flyers and notices and keeping proper records of site events.
• Establish rapport with residents and encourage participation to plan and carry out site activities and community events.
• Works in collaboration with CCHS staff to ensure proper coordination and delivery of program services and events at CCHS housing site.
• Provides general services including completing intakes education (services available and application procedures) and referral of residents to service providers in the general community. Services referrals may include:
  • Meals-on-wheels
  • Transportation
  • Home health aides
  • Homemakers
  • Financial assistance
  • Counseling
  • Preventive health screening and other needed services
• Connects residents to service providers for assistance (i.e. services to families children individuals who are elderly persons with disabilities emergency assistance)
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents needs in order to offer residents the opportunity to be involved in their community and to guide them towards appropriate services and resources.
• Surveys and evaluates resident strengths and needs to identify priority of needs in the provision of appropriate information referral follow up and to capture resident input on service preferences.
• Plan and coordinate recreational cultural and social activities in coordination with Property and Asset Management staff and residents as needed
• Develop strategies to link residents with needed services including aiding in overcoming various barriers that might impede access to services
• Work in partnership and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including case managers social workers the public and residents
• Multi-task coordinate day-to-day activities and work with the property manager independently or from a team-based approach
• Directly oversee volunteers and contract service providers work. Responsibilities include training volunteers planning assigning and directing work addressing complaints and resolving problems

Connecting residents to existing local community services and self-improvement opportunities

• Implement priority programs and essential activities through partnerships with other community-based service providers/organizations
• Serves as a liaison to community agencies networks with community providers and seeks out new services available to the residents
• Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals with an emphasis on providing on-site services to residents
• Meet with local parish and community representatives to engage local support for CCHS affordable housing programs and services.
• Provide services coordination per the requirements of the applicable funding sources including (but not limited to) HUD 202 USDA RD or State Department of Commerce or other affordable housing funding programs.
• Support Diocesan efforts to promote a larger Social Justice agenda for the Diocese specifically as it relates to CCHS Mission Vision and Values.
• Refer CCHS residents to appropriate local service agencies based on needs of the resident.

Documentation and record keeping of onsite resident activities to be used in report and measurement of program outcomes and to the effectiveness of agency programs.

• Utilize program database (s) to track all program activities at each site.
• Maintains orderly and accurate program files (paper and electronic) and record keeping/reporting.
• Ensure that documentation progress notes and reports are accurate and on time

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing walking bending lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirement. The physical demands require sufficient mobility to work in a resident services and affordable housing site setting that may require extended periods of time sitting performing repetitive motion with hands and wrists.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education

• Equivalent to Bachelors or Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Welfare Human Services Counseling Administration or closely related field
• Combination of education and/or experience may compensate for education requirement (including lived experience)

Experience

• 2 years experience in social work or social services with an emphasis in direct client work with individuals and/or families case coordination and program development
• Experience in nonprofit or public social/human services counseling or community relations work preferred
• Experience in social service is desirable; professional and personal experience and understanding of homeless and farmworker senior and disabled populations may be substituted

Licensure Registration Certification

• Valid Washington State drivers license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
• Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities insurance liability provider

Employment is conditional upon:

• Being cleared by a criminal background check and fingerprinting when required

Wage Range:$23.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
