Description

General Summary of Duties

Plans organizes coordinates and ensures delivery of services at the office and supervises office employees. Assists in the daily operation of the branch to maintain efficient and convenient member service that encourages growth and satisfies the needs of the membership. Provides encouragement training and development of staff supporting the overall goals and direction of the credit union.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed. Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends.
  • As a member of the management team submits recommendations for changes in policies and procedures and assists in administrative matters which effect the organization as a whole.
  • Exhibits leadership to the staff and creates an atmosphere conducive to quality performance and morale. Supports the efforts of all staff in the maintenance of an atmosphere of service excellence.
  • Provides supervision scheduling training day-to-day reinforcement coaching and support for the staff. Evaluates assigned staff on an annual basis. Ensures the staff is meeting their responsibilities. Ensures compliance in accordance with the Union contract.
  • Maintains knowledge of all credit union services and the ability to service members in any of those areas. Researches and solves member problems and/or complaints. Approves loans within authority.
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable security policies by office staff; and ensures security systems are always operational through regularly scheduled inspections and checklists.
  • Ensures all documentation for the area of responsibility is properly maintained. Continually analyzes procedures; adds deletes or modifies as necessary within authority. Ensures appropriate staff is kept informed of new procedures and authorizes exceptions when circumstances warrant.
  • Performs spot checks in area of responsibility to ensure policies/procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensures compliance related requirements are met and cooperates during compliance audits; ensures audits are completed in accordance with the security officers manual.
  • Ensures internal/external maintenance of facility is in good repair and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Conducts community relations; networks and maintains good working relationships with outside contacts.
  • Participates in the introduction of new products and services.
  • Analyzes opportunities to increase membership base by researching the market.
  • Represents the credit union at various events such as community events trade shows business and social events; performs public relations at same when necessary.
  • Through direct sales and supervision of assigned staff achieve sales goals for the branch and coaches to ensure employee goals are met. Contributes to continuous sales and service process improvement.
  • Works closely with staff to develop leads and enhance relationships with existing business partners. Seeks out and acts on leads for new business partners.
  • Keeps VP Sales and Service informed of any challenges within area of responsibility.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Perform as part of a team and assist other employees and other departments as needed.
  • Place documents that need to be shredded in the proper area for shredding.
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow the established process for key control security and the security of all codes and procedures related to office security. Open and close office by disarming and arming alarms as established procedures require.
  • Maintain total working knowledge of department. Complete necessary logs.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies/procedures that are necessary for performing job duties including but not limited to Negotiable Instrument Reference & Guidelines NACHA BSA and OFAC.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: A two-year college degree in Business Management or relevant field.
  • Experience: One to two years of member/customer relations experience at a credit union or similar environment with proven sales results.
