The Medical Assistant provides primary support to the provider by proactively anticipating the provider needs preparing the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines maintaining efficient patient flow and assisting the provider with treatments and procedures. Also provides support for clerical functions to include scheduling referrals and prior authorizations. Performs activities to maintain a clean stocked safe and well-organized patient care environment. Provides in-basket support with the EMR.
