Seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayneto lead this innovative organization by inspiring teams to execute the long-term vision fostering key external relationships and ensuring cultural and mission alignment. This role is responsible for the successful leadership and management of Habitat according to its values and the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. CEO Projects and Tasks:
Board Leadership:
Build a strong healthy relationship with the Board to ensure alignment on mission and priorities
Shape board agendas and discussions to focus on big-picture strategy and governance
Engage board members and committees as advisors fundraisers and strategic partners
Identify Strategic Opportunities:
Spot trends ideas or innovations that could drive growth or impact
Propose new initiatives or directions that advance the mission and long-term sustainability
Partner with the leadership team to explore and assess emerging opportunities
External Relationships and Fundraising:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors funders community leaders and partners
Represent Habitat publicly at events meetings and through media engagements
Lead major gift strategy and support the fundraising team in opening doors and closing gifts
Community Leadership:
Be the voice and face of the organization in the local and regional community
Build collaborative partnerships with nonprofits government leaders and key institutions
Strengthen Habitats public presence and credibility as a trusted community leader
Champion Culture and Values:
Model Habitats core values and ensure they are integrated into decision-making and leadership
Promote a mission-driven inclusive and accountable workplace culture
Ensure core values are reflected in hiring team leadership and internal communications
CEO Requirements & Profile:
Bachelors Degree required
5-10 years of executive leadership experience
Proven success and results of growing revenues and/or profitability of an organization
Demonstrated experience in strategic plan execution with ability to translate vision into action
Strong track record of working with a Board of Directors
Skilled at building trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders funders partners and community leaders
Willingness to learn and fully adopt the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) prior experience with EOS is a strong plus
Deep alignment with and personal commitment to the organizations mission values and Christian foundation
CEO Benefits:
Salary: $130000 - $160000
