Marblehead Public SchoolsJob DescriptionPosition: Food Truck Driver/Cafe WorkerPosition Location: Food Services Department Work Day/Year: 7 Hours a Day Follow School Calendar (184 Days)Reports to: Director of Food Services Nutrition Operations SpecialistHours: 6:30-1:30 School Food Service Truck Driver/Cafeteria WorkerMarblehead Public Schools proudly serves 2500 students throughout five schools. We strive to instill a joy of learning by inspiring engaging and supporting our youth to become the innovative leaders of Purpose of the School Food Service Delivery Driver is to transport Food Meals Equipment Supplies Etc. to all 5 schools in the district set forth by the Food Service Director. The Base location for this Job will be at the Village school. The Delivery driver will report to the Village School cafeteria Manager every morning for delivery manifest. On days deliveries will not be needed the Delivery driver will report to the Village School for kitchen assignments. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Transport and Delivery:Load transport deliver meals food supplies and equipment to 5 schools throughout the food Service director will provide a predetermined that food items are delivered in a timely and safe manner maintaining the integrity and temperature of the Maintenance:Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of the delivery any mechanical issues or damage to the vehicle to the appropriate and Safety:Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating the delivery to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent proper handling of food items to prevent spoilage or and Reporting:Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of food items any discrepancies or issues encountered during delivery to the any required paperwork related to deliveries and vehicle Service:Interact professionally and courteously with school staff and other any delivery-related concerns or issues promptly and Duties When not Delivering:Assist Cafeteria Manager in meal preparation and serving including cutting vegetables assembling sandwiches and portioning food itemsMaintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria environment including cleaning tables sweeping mopping and washing dishesMonitor food temperatures and quality to ensure safety and freshnessFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as outlined by the school and local health authoritiesReplenish food and supplies as neededAssist in inventory management and restocking of cafeteria itemsCollaborate with the cafeteria team to ensure efficient and smooth meal serviceProvide excellent customer service to students and staffPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Education and Experience:High school diploma or experience in delivery driving or a related field is and Certifications:Valid drivers license with a clean driving (Commercial Drivers License) may be required depending on the vehicle and Abilities:Strong organizational and time management to lift and carry heavy items up to X communication and interpersonal knowledge of vehicle with local routes and traffic Requirements:Ability to pass a background check and drug to work flexible hours including early Conditions:The role involves significant driving and physical activity including loading and unloading food driver will be exposed to various weather conditions while performing outdoor position may require working in a refrigerated environment to handle certain food StatementMarblehead Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
