The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center ranked No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report is seeking a full-time board-certified/board-eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our esteemed Spine Center team.
Physiatrists specializing in back and spine medicine plays a pivotal role in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal and spine-related conditions. This physician will focus on restoring function reducing pain and improving quality of life for patients through individualized evidence-based treatment plans. The role requires close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons neurosurgeons pain specialists physical therapists and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Role Responsibilities and Duties:
The ideal candidate will be adept at integrating conservative management strategiessuch as image-guided injections physical therapy coordination and functional restoration programsinto longitudinal care plans tailored to each patients needs and goals.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent
ABPMR Board certified/eligible
Eligible for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research work on or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
