What You Will Do:
Work under general supervision in the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) of the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) software development.
Review software requirements and determine test plan development.
Conduct system level testing of AFATDS software products.
Review product training materials and technical manuals. Identify required updates.
Provide fault analysis of software defects.
Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
What YOU Will Learn:
The candidate will gain a better understanding of US Government regulations and requirements for international trade and product deliveries.
The candidate will be paired with a mentor to better understand the role and gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful.
The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with the Systems Engineering processes for the development of a software product.
To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:
Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4 in the chain of command.
Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related technical degree OR 6 years of professional experience in lieu of a technical degree.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: with military command and control applications such as AFATDS Cannon Fire Control Systems and/or Rocket/MLRS Fire Control Systems.
Experience supporting military operations at BDE Battalion or lower.
Familiarity with military networking and Tactical Operations Center operations
Qualifications We Prefer:
Prior soldering experience in related environment (Battalion/Company/Battery). Cannon or Rocket experience is a plus.
Certified Military Trainer (Army USMC Air Force etc.). Preferably Artillery Training.
Experience developing military Training and Technical Manual products.
Experience troubleshooting software applications to identify operational issues affecting system functions.
Detailed experience and knowledge of Artillery Command and Control functions capabilities and activities and how the automated systems support the Artillery operations.
Working knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing combat net radio LAN network topologies and troubleshooting procedures.
