Job Description
FLS Transportation Services is currently seeking In-House counsel to join our rapidly growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- This role will involve regular interaction with in-house paralegal internal and external clients as well as outside counsel in the USA Canada and Mexico.
- Responsible for performing projects important to the success and needs of our business and the clients we serve.
- Review draft and negotiate contracts with hundreds of customers and vendors;
- Assist in the creation and review of legal documents and the negotiation of client and supplier contracts;
- Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities as required.
- Ensure that the Company complies with laws and regulations;
- Assists in the legal due diligence process;
- Coordinate and oversee legal requirements for the organization;
- All other duties that may be required in her function.
Requirements:
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to use considerable judgement advanced skills and initiative to efficiently and independently resolve complex problems as they arise and to follow established processes to resolve issues quickly
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding of both legal and business strategies and understand the impact of the work on the department and/or clients and make recommendations for solutions
- 0-5 years of experience
- Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
