About the role

Working collaboratively with churches schools and volunteers you will be responsible for leading the local delivery of SU Chaplaincy through training coaching and leading both staff and volunteers in ministry opportunities within your district. You will also be responsible for growing SU Chaplaincy in the geographical area by establishing strong relationships with School decision-makers and identify appropriate candidates to lead SU Chaplaincy in their context.

This role primarily covers areas in Perth but will also require some dealings in regional towns and communities. Please note this role is based out of our Bayswater Office with frequent local travel expected. You will need to be based in the area due to the leadership and networking responsibilities of the role.

This is a part-time role (3 days per week) based in Perth.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A broad understanding of Christian youth/childrens ministry
  • Experience with the education sector and WA schools (preferably in a Chaplaincy context)
  • A minimum 3 years experience leading a team preferably within a not-for profit environment
  • Demonstrated ability to network build partnerships and strategic alliances with a broad range of people
  • Tertiary qualifications in youth work leadership business or related field
  • Experience and involvement in community fundraising
  • Drivers license essential
