Minimum Qualifications
Must hold a masters degree in social work from a program that is accredited by the Council on Social Work. Minimum of two (2) years of post- MSW experience preferably in health care.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic experience in Bachelor or Master of Social Work Education. Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure. Clinical supervision experience with MSW students and graduates. Doctoral degree in social work or related field. Practice and/or research specialization in one or more of the following areas: Medical/hospital social work Aging palliative care rehabilitation Community health Community mental health Integrated behavioral health care Healthcare evaluation/management Healthcare policy/advocacy Emphasis on social justice oriented social work practice in teaching and professional work. Strong knowledge skills and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populations. Awareness and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population through cross-cultural study training teaching and other professional experiences. Experience with online pedagogy. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
