Reports To: Inventory Manager

Whats The Job The inventory specialist ensures accuracy of inventory within the warehouse and within our software systems. You will be the main point of contact for warehouse operations when inventory problems arise. You will also assist the warehouse team with receiving materials and putting materials in proper locations within the facility.
What Youll Be Doing Stop Scanning and Read This Part
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials which include raw ingredients and finished goods for a food manufacturing plant. Ensure proper labeling of materials before they are put away.
- Process partial ingredient returns to be put back in stock.
- Record and track inventory transactions through Fishbowl WMS.
- Assist with maintaining the inventory management system
- Maintain accurate inventory records; research overages and shortages reconcile discrepancies
- Assist with conducting regular physical inventory counts
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory audits
- Communicate with other departments to ensure that inventory needs are met
- Other duties as assigned
What Youve Done and Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED; recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 1- 3 years of experience in inventory or related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to become certified on forklift and scissor lift equipment.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Have a commitment to safety and safe workplace practices comply with safety standards
- Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands:
- Speaking: Constantly (investigates collaborating with multiple departments status updates via Slack instant message keeping key partners informed of daily progress of material request)
- Standing and walking: Constantly standing and walking in warehouse
- Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product moving product)
- Lifting: Frequent- Lift 40 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
- Able to be certified on manual and powered pallet jacks or forklifts
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment that contains allergens and where temperatures vary with the seasons
