The Airframe Mechanic will provide Contract Maintenance Support (CMS) as an integrated part of the Airframes/Phase Maintenance Divisions maintenance effort to support the units flight hour/training goals. Potential Positions include: Aircraft Mechanic 3 and Aircraft Mechanic 2. perform aircraft maintenance functions of the aircraft cleaning and
washing maintenance support for squadrons within Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 26 and Marine Aircraft Training Group (MATG) 29 at the Organizational level (O-Level). Aircraft maintenance support for the MV-22 CH-53 UH- 1Y and AH-1W/Z platforms shall be provided aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River NC at Marine MediumTiltrotor SquadronMarine Medium Tilrotor Training Squadron 204 Marine Heavy Helicopter SquadronMarine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302 Marine Light Attack
Helicopter Squadron 167 and 269.
GENERAL:
Possess a minimum of five (5) years Aviation experience and no less than two (2) years V-22 experience (U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 6156).
Utilize appropriate technical publication(s) to include: Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) in the performance of all assigned maintenance actions.
Able to read and interpret blueprints schematic diagrams and applicable technical data.
Identify/properly utilizes common tools calibrated equipment and special support equipment/tools in the performance of maintenance procedures.
Possess a working knowledge of fluids and gases and the principles of their use as applicable to hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Practical knowledge of color-coded charts of aircraft plumbing piping lines and electrical systems and interpretation of technical data.
Operate support equipment for flight line maintenance of established procedures.
Observe personal safety and line precautions around aircraft and workspaces.
Work will be on a government installation; therefore you must be cleared for access.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work cooperate and communicate as directed with supervisors team leaders and coworkers satisfactorily. This includes the professional mature acceptance of constructive criticism.
Troubleshoot repair and inspect aircraft structures and hydraulic/pneumatic system Perform maintenance in the removal repair replacement and installation of aircraft components such as control surfaces access panels landing gear doors and component rigging.
Perform Scheduled Unscheduled Special and Phase Maintenance inspections as directed through MRC decks.
Research interpret and comply with Technical Directive (TD) requirements for the aircraft/aircraft components.
Select candidates must be able to obtain a level of experience to become a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)/Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR).
