This position manages a team of production level or hourly/direct employees in Manufacturing Operations. Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations maintenance plant engineering scheduling and personnel while maintaining EHS compliance expectations and promoting employee development and progression.

This position will be onsite in Louisville KY. Relocation assistance available.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensures the overall well-being of site employees through the diligent sustained execution of ergonomic and safety best practices
  • Oversee the development and progression of hourly employees through the obtainment of reliable process skills
  • Owns the execution of medium-term manufacturing strategy and the operational direction of the service center production processes
  • Achieves operating objectives consistent with budget and customer contractual obligations
  • Leads continuous improvement (CI) activity for the service center; consistently demonstrates a commitment to CI as a change agent for the facility
  • Oversees cost reduction and process improvement for the service center to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
  • Assists Site Lead in developing the annual service center budget for review/approval by senior level management.
  • Oversees and ensures all quality related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. Develops and maintains an audit ready environment for area of responsibility.
  • Ensures workplace is safe and free of significant hazards
  • Assists Site Lead in managing financial performance of the service center
  • Analyzes inventory and coordinates with purchasing on replenishment processes and stocking levels
  • Plans and maintains proper staffing levels in area of responsibility
  • Monitors product quality and ensures shipped orders are in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and/or other regulatory agencies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Leads the development of a collaborative team environment by promoting transparency accountability and mutual respect
  • Drives alignment across functional teams suppliers and customers to support business objectives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Delivers consistent audience-appropriate communication across all organizational levels to ensure clarity of goals expectations and performance updates.
  • Manages team performance by addressing issues promptly providing actionable feedback and resolving conflicts to maintain operational effectiveness
  • 0-10% travel required

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience in manufacturing and/or aerospace industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations and/or aerospace industry
  • Experience in leading CI events and the use of CI tools and lean methodology

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Knowledge of agency (ex FAA) regulations for aircraft maintenance & certification preferred
  • Engineering and Operations experience in a Landing Gear MRO environment is highly preferred

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAAs regulation 14 CFR part 120 as well as 49 CFR part 40.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
