This position will be remote within the United States with a preference to candidates in Utah that are able to come into the office 1-2 days per week.
Job Summary Henry Schein One is seeking a Sr Software Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams building Dentrix the industrys must trusted and awarded dental practice management system. This individual will drive excellence across engineering quality assurance and product delivery while fostering a high-performance people-first culture.
Youll play a key role in aligning engineering with strategic objectives enabling delivery through empowered teams and ensuring security compliance and reliability at scale. You will lead team leaders and engineers to execute projects through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with cross-functional collaboration across product architecture and business leadership.

What You Will Do
Lead and grow multiple engineering teams delivering mission-critical software to dental practices and their patients
Directly oversee team leaders and influence engineering practices technical execution and outcomes across the organization
Drive clarity accountability and alignment through effective communication of goals priorities and status to team members and stakeholders
Support hiring onboarding coaching performance management and career development to attract and retain top talent
Establish and enforce standards for software engineering analysis QA and project delivery
Foster a culture of ownership collaboration innovation and continuous improvement
Partner with Product and UX to deliver customer-centric solutions that align with strategic initiatives
Monitor and manage project scope forecasts risks and budgets
Promote mature DevOps practices continuous integration/deployment and test-driven development
Travel/Physical Demands

Qualifications
What You Will Have
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
10 years of progressive software development experience with our tech stack with 3 years in people management
Proven success leading distributed or hybrid engineering teams at scale
Excellent knowledge of SDLC including Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
Ability to lead through influence resolve conflict and build consensus across functions
Clear empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative environments
Analytical strategic thinker who can balance tech debt innovation and delivery
Passionate about people development and organizational growth
Adaptable and excited by change in a fast-moving environment
Committed to high standards of quality and integrity

The posted range for this position is$135000 - $195000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience current skills location/labor market internal equity etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
