As part of our continuous improvement program we are assessing bestofbreed tools to streamline internal workflows and give our consultants more time to focus on client success.
Project Overview
We are exploring a potential migration from our current timereporting/project management/scheduling solution to Odoo ().
To make an informed decision we seek an experienced Odoo professional who can:
- Evaluate which Odoo modules (Timesheets Project HR Accounting etc.) best meet Brightvisions requirements.
- Configure a sandbox instance that simulates daytoday operations for one of our business units.
- Demonstrate core workflows (time entry approval invoicing reporting) and highlight gaps or customizations needed.
- Provide a clear cost/benefit and risk analysis to guide our go/nogo decision.
The initial engagement is 23months (approximately Aug/Sept -> Oct/Nov2025) with the possibility of extension into a full rollout or ongoing support phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Discovery & Requirements Capture Conduct interviews with finance project management and HR stakeholders; map current processes.
- Solution Design Recommend Odoo modules configurations and any custom developments required to replicate Brightvisions workflows.
- Sandbox Setup Create and configure a fresh Odoo database establish a new company structure load sample data and set rolebased access controls.
- Demonstration & Training Run live demos for the Swedish project team; prepare concise user guides or videos.
- Evaluation Report Deliver a written assessment covering functionality fit integration needs implementation timeline licensing and total cost of ownership.
- Knowledge Transfer Handover documentation configuration scripts and bestpractice recommendations for a potential production rollout.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of handson Odoo implementation experience including at least two full projects where you set up a brandnew company database from scratch.
- Deep knowledge of Timesheets Project and HR/Payroll modules; familiarity with Accounting and Invoicing workflows.
- Proven ability to import/export data configure user roles design custom reports and install community or enterprise addons.
- Comfortable gathering requirements running workshops and presenting findings to nontechnical stakeholders (excellent spoken and written English).
- Experience working as an independent consultant or freelancer with remote international teams.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to overlap at least 3hours per day with Central European working hours (UTC1).
NicetoHave
- Odoo certification (Functionalv15 or Technical).
- Prior exposure to Nordic accounting practices or EU/SaaS consultancy environments.
- Basic understanding of Zapier Make/Integromat or REST API integrations.
Contract & Compensation
- Type: Independent contractor / freelance (B2B invoice).
- Duration: 23months (extension possible).
- Workload: 2030hours per week (negotiable).
- Location: Remote within the Philippines.
- Pay: Competitive hourly or projectbased rate commensurate with expertise.
