Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Operating Room Technician working the night shift (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM) in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The technician will provide surgical support across multiple specialties including but not limited to Orthopedics Neurosurgery and General Surgery. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital and mandatory floating between facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Providing surgical support during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Floating to other facilities as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital.
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties (Orthopedics Neurosurgery Vascular Thoracic Trauma Oral-Maxillofacial ENT General Ophthalmology Gynecology Ortho/Plastics Hand Plastics Urology Colo-Rectal Pediatric and Adult).
- Current BLS certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist in the State of Illinois (NBSTA or NCCT).

Special Considerations:
- 5x8 hour shifts 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM.
- Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month).
- Mandatory floating between facilities.
- Maximum 5 days of Required Time Off (RTO) with no more than 2 consecutive days. No RTO on weekends or holidays or the day before or after a holiday.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
Scheduling:
- 5x8 hour shifts 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM.
- Every other weekend required.
