Job Description
This role is for a Certified Operating Room Technician responsible for providing surgical support in a variety of surgical specialties within an acute care hospital setting. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves scrubbing assisting with surgical procedures and collaborating with the surgical team. Weekend and on-call shifts are required with start and end times varying based on surgical schedules.
- Preparing surgical rooms and equipment.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Assisting the surgical team with instrumentation and supplies.
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures regarding sterilization and infection control.
- Participating in on-call coverage as needed.
- Floating to outpatient surgery pavilion as needed.
- Experience scrubbing in various surgical specialties (General Ortho Ortho/Spine Ortho/Total Joints Urology Endo/Laparoscopic Vascular Gyn).
- Current BLS certification.
- Active certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician.
- Outpatient surgical experience.
- Shift times vary (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM start times; 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM end times).
- Floating to sister facilities (Outpatient Surgery Pavilion) is required.
- Must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius.
- Return to office (RTO) is required.
- Shift times vary ranging from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM start times and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM end times.
- Weekend and on-call shifts are required.
- Shift assignments will be determined based on surgical schedules and needs.
