Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a medical-surgical unit requiring a minimum of two years of recent acute care experience. The CNA will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting with activities of daily living collecting patient data and performing various clinical tasks. Floating to other facilities within the same scope of practice is mandatory.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including ambulation hygiene feeding and toileting.
- Collect patient data such as vital signs weights and specimens.
- Assist with patient care procedures including incentive spirometry oxygen therapy setup and post-mortem care.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform basic clinical tasks under the direction of a registered nurse (e.g. blood sugar checks suctioning).
- Communicate patient status and report changes to licensed professionals.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones data entry and coordinating equipment needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience in medical-surgical (MS) settings.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Special Considerations:
- Mandatory floating to other facilities within the same scope of practice.
- Every other weekend/2 weekends per month required.
- 3x12-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off (RTO) with no more than 2 consecutive days. No RTO on weekends or holidays or the day before or after a holiday.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (3x12s).
- Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
- Every other weekend and two weekends per month are required.
- No block scheduling.
