The Low Current Engineer is responsible for the design installation maintenance and troubleshooting of low-
current systems such as CCTV access control fire alarms and other low-voltage systems. This role ensures that all
low current systems are properly integrated maintained and operate in compliance with safety standards
supporting operational efficiency and security.
Accountabilities:
Develop designs for low current systems including CCTV access control public address and fire alarm
systems.
Coordinate and oversee the installation of low-voltage systems ensuring compliance with design
specifications safety standards and project timelines.
Integrate low current systems with other building management systems as required.
Diagnose and repair issues in low current systems including wiring hardware and system configurations.
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Maintain a log of issues and repairs to support future troubleshooting and system improvements.
Work closely with project teams clients and vendors to ensure low current systems meet client
specifications and are installed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with contractors and technicians for on-site work and ensure compliance with safety and quality
standards.
Test all systems to verify functionality and make necessary adjustments to optimize system operations.
Ensure systems comply with regulatory requirements and organizational safety standards
Requirements
Education experience training and skills required:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or a related field.
1 years of experience in low current systems design installation and maintenance.
Proficiency in low current systems such as CCTV fire alarms and access control.
Knowledge of network integration for low current systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
