This is a remote position.
The Lead Bookkeeper Property Management is focused on the day-to-day finances of the Company and handling of security deposit disbursements and disputes. One of the major responsibilities of this role is accounting for the Company s payables and receivables and payroll. Another major responsibility of this role is the refund/disbursement of tenant security deposits. This includes but is not limited to evaluating charges in light of Colorado Real Estate Laws and accepted normal wear and tear guidelines tracking and ensuring statements. Refunds are issued within the required timeframe communicating with owners about and providing options regarding any charges disputed by tenants and resolving any tenant disputes including issuing refunds if applicable or in the best interest of resolving the situation.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and record all incoming financial transactions for the Company.
Oversee and ensure precise billing for property owner and tenant accounts.
Pursue collection of all outstanding balances due to the Company or property owners.
Process security deposit refunds within specified timeframes and prepare comprehensive Statement of Deposit Activity forms.
Administer the Company s accounts payable and receivable.
Manage the Companys payroll operations.
Address all disputes or demand letters pertaining to the disbursement or disposition of security deposits.
Implement measures to guarantee the fulfillment of all company financial obligations including utility charges and other recurring monthly expenses.
Maintain an appropriate inventory of office supplies.
Deliver prompt and effective communication to property owners and tenants.
Resolve customer concerns and complaints.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Accounting (AR/AP) Experience is a must.
US Customer Service Experience is a must.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
Strong ability to track and manage detailed information.
Punctual follow-up and task completion.
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with property owners and tenants.
Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and ledgers with the ability to articulate explanations to property owners and tenants.
High degree of accuracy in data entry.
Aptitude for analyzing complex situations proposing suitable resolutions and initiating appropriate actions.
Comfortable working U.S. business hours and communicating clearly in English
