As a Senior Technical Manager you will be responsible for both technical oversight and team leadership:
Technical Leadership:
Guide Project Lifecycle: Lead the engineering team through the entire project lifecycle from initial design and testing to successful execution and delivery of large-scale solar projects.
Optimize System Design: Provide expert technical guidance to ensure optimal system design seamless integration and efficient delivery of solar solutions.
Resolve Complex Challenges: Effectively diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues even under tight deadlines.
Strategic Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams ensuring smooth coordination throughout all project phases.
Cost-Effective Solutions: Analyze and recommend innovative efficient and cost-effective design options to maximize project profitability and sustainability.
Tender Management: Prepare comprehensive commercial and technical proposals for Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) submissions.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to technical documentation and project procedures ensuring best practices.
Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest industry standards codes and technological advancements in renewable energy applying this knowledge to project development.
Implementation Support: Provide critical technical support during the implementation phase of projects ensuring successful deployment.
Team & Operational Management:
Resource Management: Strategically plan and manage engineering resources software and equipment ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to enhance internal systems and processes improving overall service delivery and operational efficiency.
Capability Building: Develop and deliver technical training programs to continuously build and enhance the capabilities of the engineering team.
Performance & Development: Oversee team performance foster career development and provide mentorship to engineers.
Talent Development: Proactively identify and address skill gaps within the team implementing strategies to bridge those gaps.
Reporting & Strategy: Report on project and team performance to senior leadership contributing to strategic decision-making.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Certification: SEDA GCPV PV System Design qualification or an equivalent certification.
Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the photovoltaic (PV) industry.
Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a leadership supervisory or managerial role within a relevant technical field.
System Knowledge (Advantageous): Experience with electrical power and medium voltage systems is a significant advantage.
Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated strong leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record of developing and motivating technical teams.
Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a capacity for strategic thinking.
