Job Description
HOW HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer for Power Transmission Solutions to join our innovative team in the Americas region based in our Chihuahua Mexico facility. In this role you will be responsible for supporting our Industrial Solutions Americas business by developing and optimizing power transmission belts and systems.
- Drive New Product Development projects from G30 to G60
- Define DFMEA and product DVP to meet the project requirements and develop test plans and procedures
- Technical lead in development projects internal or with customers
- Work with Material Platform / Material Process Engineering to define specifications and test procedures for raw material suppliers (cord fabric coating rubber)
- Assist in the development and approval of new alternative material suppliers and support audits if necessary
- Systematically analyze own and competitor products including their product performance and manufacturing process
Qualifications :
What you will bring to the role
- University Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical abilities and data interpretation skills.
- Experience with product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- English language proficiency
Additional ways to stand out
Advanced level of:
- Fundamental knowledge in elastomers reinforcements and according manufacturing processes (tech.)
- Experience in rubber engineered products industry preferably in a product development application engineering or manufacturing engineering role
- Overall knowledge of belt manufacturing processes
