The Managing Director of Student Achievement is an essential leader inour quest to achieve consistently excellent results at each our schools onbehalf of the students and communities we serve. It will have a direct impact on ensuring highquality practice and outcomes in the areas of curriculum instructionassessment academic programing and school leadership/management support. This position will work in closecollaboration with the Chief Education Officer on all aspects of the AceroEducational Program from design at the network level to implementation at theschool and classroom levels.
Core Responsibilities
Academic Leadership:
oIn partnership withthe Chief Education Officer lead the networks Department of StudentAchievement which is comprised of teams focused on Curriculum and AssessmentPerformance Management Data/Student Information Systems Athletics SpecialEducation and English Learning.
o Drive development of network-level systems andstructure to ensure continuous school improvement in all areas impactingstudent achievement.
o Drive the next-generation evolution andimplementation of our rigorous K-12 college-prep educational model on behalf ofall students.
o Establishpolicies and protocols as appropriate to ensure strong implementation of oureducational model and consistently strong results for all students.
o Provide input on the continued collaborativedevelopment of professional evaluation systems including STRIVE.
o Plan and conduct network-wide PD for teachers andschool leaders.
o Recruit develop and retain high-quality academicleaders.
School Leadership:
oIn partnership withthe Chief Education Officer lead manage and supervise Aceros network ofschool leaders.
o Develop and implement leadership development plansfor Principals and other school leadership team members including onboardingfor new school leaders.
o Conduct regular school-wide walkthroughsco-observations and instructional rounds to provide targeted feedback onstrengths and areas of improvement.
o Work side-by-side with school leaders to addressareas of school improvement.
o Consult on approve and monitor annual schoolachievement plans.
o Assist school leadership teams with their use ofassessment data to improve the quality of instruction.
o Hold regular check-ins with principals and providesupport as appropriate.
oRecognize and celebrate school achievement andprincipal professional growth and success.
Organizational Leadership:
oAdvise Aceros senior leadership team on allmatters relating to student achievement and school performance.
oProvide regular updates to Aceros Board of Directorson the status of Aceros schools relative to strategic plan targets.
oCollaborate with all departments to ensure organizationaleffectiveness in service of Aceros mission vision and values.
o Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education: Bachelors degree (required); Mastersdegree/Doctorate degree (strongly preferred)
At least 5 years of teaching experience withdemonstrated impact on student achievement (strongly preferred)
At least 3 years of School Leadership experiencewith demonstrated impact on student achievement and school culture (stronglypreferred)
Previous experience managing multiple staff members
Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
Professional Educator License with Principal and/orSuperintendent Endorsement (preferred)
Must hold permanent residency in the United States(required)
