    Position Description:
    Mountain View Whisman School District is looking for an Academic Site Liaison to lead our Beyond the Bell after-school program. Programs run at elementary and middle school sites. Academic Site Liaisons are exceptional educators who take on the overall leadership of the after school program site including program management and day-to-day operations. Academic Site Liaisons provide instructional supervision for staff interact daily with school day staff families and community members and are the face of Beyond the Bell in the school and communities they serve.

    What is the commitment
    This is a part-time after school position during the academic school year. A tutor can work anywhere from 17-19 hours per week between the times of 2-6 pm and 12:30-6 pm on minimum days.

    Tutors will attend monthly all staff meetings before program.

    Training Requirements:
    • Help with various enrollment recruiting activities which may include: attending events sending emails calling families or other community efforts.
    • Participate in 5-7 regional trainings over the course of the school year
    • Ongoing Duties May Include:
    • Facilitate day to day operations of program in collaboration with on site staff and the City of Mountain View co-lead creating a high energy fun and creative experience for participants (which include enrichment activities spirit weeks planned out themes and running active games)
    • Manage staff ensuring quality academic and enrichment instruction high energy and overall performance
    • Daily communication with parents regarding program attendance homework and behavior
    • Maintain confidentiality of staff students and family situations. This could include mandated reporting.
    • Purchase supplies for program
    • Working with staff schedule to ensure continuous coverage
    • Maintain and review attendance documentation and opening/closing site procedures for staff and children
    • Regularly check-in with teachers and principal regarding questions or issues with students
    • Ensure classrooms and facilities are well maintained
    • Coordinate and attend field trip throughout the year.
    • Other duties as assigned

    What are we looking for
    • Current college student with a minimum of 2 years of college experience or NCLB compliant
