What your day will look like:
Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance you will skillfully perform a variety of general maintenance responsibilities and activities and do other related work as required . This will include:
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Plumbing repair and installation skills.
- Plow snow during winter weather months.
- Welding woodworking and basic carpentry work.
- Minor masonry drywall and painting repair.
- Operating a variety of power grounds equipment including large gang mowers tractors backhoe equipment and sweepers.
- Performing a variety of specialized functions using various tractor attachments.
- May drive a truck with a trailer attachment in transporting heavy duty grounds maintenance equipment from worksite to worksite.
- Servicing grounds maintenance equipment and making minor adjustments and repairs and performing a variety of preventative maintenance functions.
- Digging trenches for new gas lines water mains and electrical lines and backfilling the trenches as the various lines are laid.
- May move furniture and equipment.

- You have worked hard to earn a H.S. Diploma or equivalency.
- You have experience safely working with electrical plumbing welding roofs operating grounds equipment and maintenance tools and performing heavy manual work functions.
- You have the ability to exert 75 to 100 pounds of force frequently to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
- You have the ability to climb ladders stairs scaffolding and ramps and can stand for extended periods of time
- You can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
