Job Description

The Senior Manager Accounting or Associate Director Accounting plays a key role in supporting the financial integrity and performance of the company. Working closely with the VP and CFO this individual will assist with day-to-day accounting operations financial reporting compliance and process improvementswhile helping maintain a strong internal control environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with period-end and year-end financial close processes ensuring accuracy of revenue and expense recognition
Prepare and review journal entries reconciliations and financial statements
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis efforts
Coordinate audits and tax preparation by providing documentation for external auditors/tax advisors
Help ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies
Maintain and improve internal control procedures and documentation
Provide financial analysis and reporting to leadership for strategic decision-making
Support accounting system improvements and process automation initiatives
Supervise and mentor accounting staff or finance team members
Conduct special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested
Provide guidance to project managers operations and project accountants as needed
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in finance or accounting
Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail
Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Experience in the engineering construction or professional services industry preferred
Compensation Range:
