Job Description
Position Summary
Brookfield is hiring an Associate Investments for its Infrastructure AI Fund (BAIIF) based in either Toronto. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team focused on deploying capital across the AI infrastructure value chain. The Associate will support deal execution due diligence and asset management working closely with senior leaders to scale Brookfields presence in this transformative sector. While primarily aligned with BAIIF the role may also support adjacent strategies across Brookfields infrastructure and transition platforms.
Responsibilities
Build detailed financial models and returns analyses to assess potential investments including company and industry research.
Support the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities in the data centers compute hardware and power and connectivity sectors.
Contribute to idea generation for potential transactions and deal structures; conduct industry research and assess new market segments.
Collaborate with operating teams across the organization to support due diligence planning and execution.
Prepare investment committee materials and other key transaction documentation.
Foster a dynamic team-oriented culture that supports personal development and a positive flexible working environment.
Undertake special projects and ad hoc initiatives as required.
Key Qualifications
Exceptional analytical skills with deep expertise in financial and investment analysis including advanced financial modelling capabilities.
Highly self-motivated and adaptable with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments manage shifting priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Professional and collaborative with a strong ability to contribute meaningfully within dynamic team-oriented settings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of engaging effectively across all levels of an organization.
Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in performance-driven environments.
Strong interest in AI investment strategies.
Relevant sector experience in AI infrastructure and general private equity considered an asset.
Other Requirements
A professional positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture;
2-3 years of experience in investment banking restructuring TMT and/or infrastructure investments or other relevant areas;
High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point and very strong financial modelling skills.
