Job Description

Paramedic

Texas Health Fort Worth is looking for a Texas Licensed Paramedic (EMT-P).

This opportunity will be working at our Fort Worth Hospital campus located at1301 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth TX 76104.

The work schedule for this opportunity will be 7:00PM-7:00AM Rotating Schedule including rotating weekends and holidays

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience:
Three (3) months recent Paramedic experience or completion of a Paramedic Internship is required.
One (1) year of Paramedic experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications
EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required

LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days of hire required.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required.

Skills
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment positive interpersonal skills good verbal and written communication skills able to perform basic computer skills.

Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific developmental and diversity needs of the patient.
Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off.
Other duties as appropriately delegated by RN.

Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team; incorporates and participates in adopted communication tools; promotes a cost-effective team by judicious use of resources; leads by example by giving priority to doing the right thing for patient care; adapts to changes in workload; demonstrates flexibility related to patient needs staffing and patient acuity; demonstrates the ability to respectfully listen to others opinions; collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.

Actively participates in the Shared Governance model at unit entity and/or system level; actively engages in finding solutions for unit division and/or entity concerns or issues; uses multiple available tools to stay informed of changes updates and communications; demonstrates the ability to respectfully listen to others opinions; Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.

Professional Development

Participates in change; understands promotes and values ed evidence-based practices quality improvement and/or research and utilizes them in practice; follows guidelines and recommendations defined by regulatory or professional practice agencies. Provides daily care that achieves outcome targets for core measures NPSG employee satisfaction patient satisfaction NDNQI and other unit/organizational metrics; demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning and development; demonstrates a commitment to advancing the professional practice of paramedicine; incorporates ethical principles from the Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Code of Ethics. 10%
KPIs Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to: Patient outcomes customer satisfaction financial performance organizational effectiveness and community health care.
