The Subscriber Revenue Manager leads marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth of existing subscribers and optimize marketing programs. You will leverage new marketing technology marketing channels and customer data in innovative ways to deploy effective marketing campaigns and customer-centric journeys to grow LTV. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to plan develop and execute growth strategies with critical marketing KPIs.
Role based in New York City NY. Must work from the NYC office 3x a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
This role and the Subscriber Revenue Marketing function is embedded within the Engagement & Retention Marketing team and will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization (Engagement Retention Marketing Operations Marketing Strategy Product Engineering Legal etc..).
Oversee marketing tactics and strategies across a variety of single product and bundle options for The Wall Street Journal Barrons MarketWatch.
Increase awareness and consideration of Dow Jones different subscription bundles.
Manage and monitor ongoing campaigns working with internal teams to ensure that campaign goals are met and remaining agile to respond to real-time performance.
Ensure owned channels (email on-site) product experimentation and paid media budgets are delivering against bundle subscription goals.
Provide post-campaign analysis drawing on successes and failures in order to identify tactics that are delivering on business goals.
Establish forecasts and work on various forms of reporting (i.e. monthly forecasting for bundle subscription orders in conjunction with Finance Data Analytics and the wider team).
Build customer journeys manage and organize complex user experiences to account for matrixed customer entitlements and market offerings.
Manage the creation production and delivery of marketing materials. Work with internal departments and external agencies draft creative briefs provide creative feedback and manage approvals.
Collaborate with product and business strategy teams to inform and build a new GTM product. Operate in a traditional product marketing flow influencing and informing the product build whilst leveraging the product roadmap to inform marketing campaign planning.
Operate directly within CRM tool(s) to conceptualize and design holistic multi-channel subscriber journeys.
Navigate and define next steps in ambiguous projects without precedent leveraging experience available resources and insights to make the best judgment call.
Communicate effectively and represent the team in department-wide meetings.
Exercise a thorough knowledge of Dow Jones brands and an ability to balance team goals with overall company objectives.
3-5 years of experience working in an acquisition retention lifecycle marketing or marketing role.
1-2 years of product marketing experience leading GTM strategies for consumer products (preferably in the news/media or financial services industries).
Highly organized and detail-oriented. Must demonstrate prior experience in facilitating a complex project with multiple stakeholders and critical deadlines.
Proven experience diving into data and dashboards to derive insights report on campaign results and make data-informed decisions.
The ability to recognize problems before they arise and proactively develop and communicate solutions.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
First-rate communications and writing skills with the ability to present and navigate large highly matrixed organizationseffectively communicate vision and advocate for the customer.
Outstanding cross-group collaboration interpersonal verbal and written communication problem solving and executive presentation skills are required.
The ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment as well as manage multiple mutually exclusive and competing priorities.
Strong initiative and self-motivation. A self-starter who is able to take ownership of their projects as well as come up with and pitch new ideas.
A team player who seeks out opportunities for collaboration with their wider team and knows how to communicate effectively across departments.
Preference: a thorough knowledge of the subscription business with a proven track record for leading GTM strategies for consumer products (preferably in the news/media or financial services industries).
