The WHOLE Pantry Program Coordinator coordinates the operation of the current Western Hub of Living Essentials (WHOLE) and supports the Basic Needs Hub. Under the general direction of the Resource Navigator/Program Manager The WHOLE Pantry Program Coordinator will order supplies engage in delivery organize and distribute food and other essentials to the food pantry/pantries. The Pantry Coordinator will provide operational assistance for food recovery efforts and assist with additional responsibilities in the Basic Needs Hub. This position is funded in part by a student-voted fee to address food security issues among students and works with recent state-funded basic needs legislative efforts.

This is a project 11-month position ending no later than June 30 2027.

Required Qualifications
  • Proof upon hiring of a current valid WA drivers license with at least 2 years of driving experience
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
  • Bachelors degree or two years of full-time experience working in a food pantry
  • Proficient in computers and MS Office software (particularly Excel)
  • Experience in working in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience in providing direct service to individuals facing life challenges or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating a food pantry
  • Experience working with food recovery efforts
  • Knowledge of food insecurity among college students
  • Experience working professionally with college students
  • Experience utilizing social media platforms (for example Instagram Facebook. LinkedIn) in a professional capacity
