This position is for a Senior Manager - Engineering within Cat Technology India. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support & lead global teams developing on-board technology systems site simulation data analytics and validation.
- Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement professional development and continuous improvement.
- Supervising recruiting mentoring and developing a staff of over 250 Caterpillar engineers in India & Australia. This Role has direct reports in India and Australia.
- Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
- Executing day to day management activities aligned with strategy and business plan including ownership of internal and external partner relationships.
Education Requirement
- Requires a degree in Engineering (Computer Science Information Technology Electrical Electronics Robotics Engineering)
What Will You Have
Planning:
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning
- Develops refines and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.
- Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Prior experience developing Electronic Systems / Technology Solutions for Construction and Mining Equipment
- Ability to understand both technology and business domains
- Strong customer focus and ability to influence
- Experience with adjacent process and tools in simulation
- Familiarity withAgile methodologiesor formalproject managementpractices.
- Proven ability tolead or collaborate with global teams.
- Direct experience working with or alongsidesoftware vendors or service providers.
- Background inengineering or product developmentroles with NPI exposure.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
