SUMMARY:
The Armstrong Company is seeking a high energy and dynamic Operations Assistant who will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational functions are running efficiently and all safety measures are being consistently followed. The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure thinks out-of-the-box and is highly self-motivated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and ensure that all paperwork and documentation is prepared for crews daily.
- Converse with crew & crew leaders to confirm all scope and specific work instructions are clearly defined and understood.
- Confirm that all equipment needed for the proper completion of each project is furnished available and returned in a timely manner.
- Enforce the uniform and PPE dress code at all times.
- Maintain improve and report/record safety records and infractions while coaching for success.
- Develop and maintain training schedule with new and existing crew members.
- Monitor and schedule upcoming fleet maintenance and fuel records.
- Monitor electronic logging communications with teams leads and customers.
- Train leads and drivers on company supported electronic devices and applications.
- Develop and manage an infraction reward incentive and disincentive program.
- Any other duties as assigned by Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- General technological / computer skills.
- Ability to learn and understand new technology platforms.
- Ability to teach others in clear and effective ways to use devices and applications furnished by the company or its customers.
- Effective teamwork and leadership skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and overall positive attitude
NICE TO HAVE:
- Logistics/Warehousing/Transportation experience or training
- Bilingual
- IT experience or capabilities
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
