Summary/Objective
Systems Engineers utilize an interdisciplinary approach focusing on customer needs and requirements to design develop document and test hardware and/or software systems ranging from simple to extremely complex.
Job Responsibilities
Individual contributor working under direction of technical leadership with some expected self-direction on complex military and government contracts.
Improve depth of product domain knowledge.
Capture requirements analyze document and conduct verification / validation testing for systems products or sub-systems of moderate complexity under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Understand and utilize internal processes and tools for the development of systems.
Make decisions that may have an impact on cost schedule technical performance and customer satisfaction.
Contribute engineering estimates on product or sub-system designs.
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Protects company IP and technical data from unauthorized disclosure; complies with ITAR regulations.
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory responsibility of others.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in applicable engineering or science field; or in the absence of a bachelors degree six to eight years of related engineering experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in satellite communication systems engineering or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint).
Familiarity with either EPDM and SolidWorks or Windchill and Creo
Deltek CostPoint Familiarity a plus.
Competency with MS Office
Familiarity with US or European electrical and environmental standards a plus
